The Gardens at Baywood Greens are widely celebrated as a must- see destination on the Delmarva Peninsula for garden enthusiasts and casual viewers alike. Sprawling well over 30 acres our stunning gardens are maintained throughout the 500-acre property, including naturalized wetlands and ponds, woodland parks, mixed borders and extensive seasonal displays. The garden's mission is to develop a visually dramatic landscape providing inspiration to visitors and to promote and conserve the natural beauty of the coastal plain.

Every changing season brings a new and imaginative iteration of these spectacular gardens, as plantings are cycled and staged according to peak blooms. The seasonal displays begin in spring with a grand tulip and bulb display. By late summer the grounds are in their glory, when massive annual and tropical borders create a lavish explosion of color throughout the property.

Autumn plantings harmoniously blend with the natural beauty of the season, drenching the gardens in deep, rich colors of burnt orange, royal indigo, and crimson red. The year culminates with a dazzling Christmas display at the enterance to the clubhouse.

The most intensive plantings are concentrated near the Baywood Clubhouse, highlighted by a mixed border, wedding garden, tropical and texture garden and tiered waterfall and pond feature. These gardens and those in the surrounding residential community are free and open to the public. Many views of the dazzling golf course plantings are visible from public areas, but only golfers enjoy the ultimate tour of the extensive plantings throughout the fairways and trails.

Visitors can easily spend one to two hours wandering these magnificent gardens at a leisurely pace. A package deal including lunch and a guided tour is available for groups of 10 to 25 people. For more information on guided tours please, call the Horticulture Office at (302)-947-9836 ext. 205.
