Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching and if you are hosting the holiday in your Baywood Greens home, there are a lot of things to prepare! If you’ve been worried about grocery shopping, cooking, and the guest list, and haven’t thought about decorations, we have you covered! Hosting Thanksgiving dinner can be stressful enough without worrying about decorations, but thankfully, there are some easy tips and tricks to make your home look ready for the holiday! Check out some of our ideas below:
The food is the main star of the day, but that doesn’t mean you can’t dress your table up! A simple tablecloth in a seasonal color, such as gold or red, will make your table pop. Try mixing and matching different colored napkins at each seat for an even more colorful table.
Wreaths can decorate any space, whether it’s a wall or a door! Hang a wreath on your front door to welcome friends and family inside. However, wreaths don’t have to be limited to just doors and walls! Prop a smaller wreath or two against a mantle, fireplace, or even on a bookshelf.
There is no need for a big, expensive bouquet this Thanksgiving. Visit your local home goods store and purchase some seasonal artificial flowers that you will be able to use year after year. Make smaller arrangements and scatter them throughout your home, such as on end tables or in guest rooms.
While your home will have all the delicious aromas of Thanksgiving dinner, such as turkey and pumpkin pie, candles are another easy way to decorate and add seasonal scents. Candles can add an extra glow to your dinner table, or brighten up your mantle. They’re versatile and can work virtually anywhere in your home!
Pillows and Blankets
Where does everyone head after Thanksgiving dinner is over? The couch, of course! Make sure everyone is comfortable by having several blankets and pillows available nearby. Throw blankets over the ends of the couches, or stack them next to couches and chairs for easy access.
We hope everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving holiday here at Baywood Greens! For more information about purchasing your new home at Baywood Greens, visit us online.
