Easter Seals Walk With Me Event
Baywood Greens is going to play host to Easter Seals Delaware and Maryland’s Eastern Shore’s 3rd annual Walk With Me Delmarva event. Teams and individuals can register to walk the first 9 holes of the Baywood Greens championship golf course and help raise funds to make a difference for adults and children in our community with disabilities and/or special needs.
Easter Seals is a day care program that serves people of all ages who have experienced an unexpected disease or injury such as a brain injury, stroke, paralysis or multiple sclerosis. The program helps give care to these individuals while their family work or take care of other daily tasks. The organization also offers a range of other services including children’s therapies, recreational camping and programs to help adults with physical or intellectual disabilities.
Specifically, the adult day care program will help give families a break from caregiving for their disabled family members. Participants in the program can choose from a variety of activities including arts & crafts, exercise, day trips and more.
The event is scheduled to take place at 3p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18th and will bring hundreds of participants to raise funds that will benefit the lives of local families and individuals with disabilities. If you’d like to register, you can visit the event’s website at www.walkwithme.org/delmarva or called Linda Forte at (302) 253-1100, Ext. 1121.
