The arrival of September signals the beginning of fall, and there’s still a lot going on at Rehoboth Beach! Here are some of the highlights:
38th Annual Nanticoke Indian Powwow
The 38th Annual Nanticoke Indian Powwow is on September 12th & 13th in Millsboro. This great event is hosted by the Nanticoke tribe and features authentic arts & crafts, Native American food, traditional Native American story telling and flute playing and many more activities. This is going to be a great event for people interested in learning the history of Native Americans.
19th Annual Delaware Coast Antiques show & sale
The 19th Annual Delaware Coast Antiques show & sale takes place from September 11th – 13th at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center. 35 select dealers from around the region will bring antiques featuring 18th & 19th Century American, English, Primitive & Period Furniture and Accessories and much more!
Locals can look forward to the traditional Oktoberfest that will be taking place on Friday, September 18th in Lewes on Market St. between Front St. and Second St. Anyone who comes can look forward to Bavarian-style dancers, German cuisine and a “beer garden”. Although you won’t be able to drink in the streets, local restaurants will be serving beer from local brewery Dogfish Head in traditional beer steins.
Dewey Beach Music Conference and Festival
Music lovers have a lot to look forward to near the end of September. The Dewey Beach Music Conference and Festival takes place on September 24th and 25th in Dewey Beach. This annual event features three nights of showcases featuring bands from all over the east coast and two days of panels, demos & mentoring sessions for aspiring musicians. This is the perfect event to meet fellow musicians or just enjoy local, up-and-coming bands!
