Baywood Does Philly: Part 1
Follow our team as we head to the Philadelphia Convention Center for Your Wedding Experience by David Tutera Bridal Show!
When we found out we were accepted to attend Your Wedding Experience Presented by David Tutera at the Philadelphia Convention Center we were over the moon excited. From meeting David Tutera to meeting hundreds of brides-to-be, to seeing the latest trends and ideas from the area’s best, we couldn’t be more excited to share with you everything we experienced while we were there!!
I’ll start with our booth – which we designed to look like a mock wedding sample. We decided to base our total look on our dream wedding – and right now, we are obsessed with rose, blush, and gold! Get some tips from the coordinators on what we would do if we could do it all again! Take a look at our booth and some of our ideas for a smooth, beautiful wedding set up:
Our amazing Baywood in-house florist, Linda Geise designed the beautiful floral arrangements. The bouquet was auctioned off to one lucky bride at the end of the bridal show! We thought the fresh garden rose on each napkin was a fresh way to brighten up and complement our place settings. We added personalized love notes from the bride and groom to each other to act as their place cards. And how about that gorgeous lei sash draped on the back of the sweetheart table chair?! Our lovely gold wooden chiavari chair was provided by our friends at Dover Rent All Tents and Events, complete with an ivory damask cushion.
Our favorite baker, Jen Rineer of Carolina Sugar Fairy, provided us with a faux wedding cake to match our theme. We could not get over how beautifully delicate those hand crafted edible flowers were! All of our booth visitors were definitely feeling the Philly LOVE that we brought all the way from Long Neck, Delaware! We had an overwhelming amount of positive responses to our design – even brides stopping to take pictures of it because they wanted that look for their own wedding - they loved it! The sparkle sequin tablecloth was just the accent we needed for our high bistro cake table.
Our booth was complete with a “Mug Shot Selfie” station that you can now find outside of the events office for you to use! Grab our mug, add your picture to social media, and hashtag #baywoodgreens, #ringselfie, #mugshot! Come pay us a visit!
We decided that we wanted our menu card to be displayed on the table, instead of cluttering each place setting. This way, everyone is reminded of what they are eating, but there isn’t any useless papers floating around – what would the guests even do with the menus anyway? Unless you have a lot of scrapbooking friends that like mementos, we say opt for the table menu! We also decided that renting gold silverware to match our blush and gold theme was a great simple touch to take the look up a notch. Our gold beaded glass chargers were dainty and rich at the same time. For our place cards, we found gold vintage keys and tied paper feathers to them with each guests name. Our place setting was complete with our peach satin napkin topped with a personalized thank you note for each of our guests – what a great way to say thank you to everyone and make them feel included when you know you won’t get much time to spend with each person on your wedding day!
Tune into our next blog post to experience all the sights and sounds of the Bridal Show Experience! We’ll have some hot new bridesmaid dresses, alternative wedding attire looks, high end cakes and floral designs, and more ring selfie ideas! Thanks for checking out our dream wedding ideas!
Until next time,
