Last Minute Summer Fun!
As much as we hate to admit it, yes, summer 2014 is coming to a close. Luckily, the weather will remain nice and warm despite the beginning of the school year – meaning weekends at Baywood Greens are fair game!
If you and your family are ready to savor every last drop of this summer season, here are a few local activities to help you do so!
Make Homemade Ice Cream
What’s summer without ice cream? Since it’s nearing the end of the season, chances are you’ve ‘taste-tested’ all of the favorite local creameries. So, why not give it a shot yourself? With endless combinations and techniques, making your own ice cream at home is easy and fun for the whole family!
Eating Rehoboth – Culinary Tour
On Fridays and Sundays from 1–4 pm through October 26, a culinary adventure through downtown Rehoboth Beach is the thing to do. So gather a group of friends together and take an unforgettable walking tour of the culinary wonders thriving in Rehoboth Beach. If you’re a foodie at heart, this is the way to celebrate the summer months!
Delaware Wine & Ale Trail
If you’re up for exploring the entire state of Delaware before the summer ends, the Delaware Wine & Ale Trail is a great way to see it all! Best left for adults, this trail takes you through some of Delaware’s finest breweries and wineries. Make it to eight of the locations and you could receive a complimentary gift from the Delaware Tourism Office! See the trail map here.
Hit the Golf Course, of course!
And as always, with our hundreds of thousands of flowers and botanicals blooming year-round, our Baywood Greens golf course is always a delight to play! Squeeze in one last round (or two!) before the fall season begins to finish off an incredible summer at Baywood Greens. Afterwards, stop by the restaurant to enjoy a satisfying, and well-deserved, meal overlooking the stunning scenery.
See? Saying goodbye to summer isn’t so bad – especially when it means saying hello to fall! With as many events going on throughout this fall season at Baywood Greens, as well as the surrounding area, our residents will always have something fun to do!
